When asked why tenants rent property instead of purchasing it one of the most common answers is that they are not ready to own property yet. Along with this we get answers about convenience (especially for college students) and cost. Now while cost depends on location of property, the other two answers are ones that will most likely change over the life of a tenant. At some point people want to move from renting property to owning their own home.
Keeping this in mind tenants should be thinking about their future and preparing themselves to be in the best place for when they make the decision to purchase a home. TrustedRentr is making this process simple. This feature is under development at the moment but will be rolled out in the near future. When a tenant makes a payment each month, that payment will be automatically sent to a credit bureau and help increase the tenants credit score over time. When a tenant decides that it is time to buy a house, their credit score will be in a place where they might qualify for a lower interest rate or better terms on a loan.
